According to a report on Starrfmonline, the alleged kidnapping and gang rape of the Takoradi based radio presenter of YFM Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka was staged. Police and doctors in the Western region have concluded after investigations into the matter that the incident was planned and acted out.
The mastermind has been identified as one Akosua Apea who hails from the Eastern region. According to Starr News Western regional correspondent Emmanuel Ohene Gyan, the suspect contacted a syndicate and hired them to stage the act. Starr News can confirm that she is currently being transferred to Accra to face prosecution.
Meanwhile, her boyfriend Rahman Nunoo had in an earlier interview raised doubts over the authenticity of the story. According to him, Ada has a history of such kidnapping claims, all of which happened under “doubtful” circumstances, adding that “when you ask her, she becomes furious.”
Founding President of policy think-tank IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe had also expressed similar sentiments. He wrote on his Facebook page that the story does not “add up.”
