Nigeria’s Mavins, led by the indefatigable Don Jazzy lived up to expectation when the thrilled fans at the Tigo Ghana Meets, on Saturday night. With a well produced and themed performance which started with Reekado Banks,Di’Ja, Korede Bello, D’Prince, Dr Sid and Don Jazzy, the Mavins closed the show which lasted for some 5 hours with the crowd up and dancing. They performed their hit songs Looku Looku, Adaobi and Dorobucci much to the delight of the fans.
Ghana was also well represented by the sheer mastery of Sarkodie, the high energy of Shatta Wale (who stripped to his boxer shots), and the artistry of Stonewboy. They were supported by MzVee, Dobble, Keche, Nero X, Gallaxy, and Ruff N Smooth.
There was also a surprise performance from Nigeria’s Sheyi Shay and comedy from DKB and Afia Schwarzenegger.
The event was powered by Empire Entertainment, proudly headlined by Tigo Music and supported by UniBank, Hennessy, Oak Plaza Hotel, Africa World Airlines, Best Western Hotel, Enovate, Mentos and Euro Star limousines.
