Akosua Agyepong climaxed the celebration of her twenty-five years in the music industry with a musical concert last
Saturday at the Accra International Conference Centre. She was
supported on stage by several other artists including Edem, Becca, Nana
Ama McBrown, and Gyedu Blay Ambolley. Also present at the event were
former President Jerry John Rwalings, Ayitey Powers, Akuma Mama Zimbi
and more.
Akosua Agyepong shot to fame in the mid-1990s with her elaborate dance moves, lyrics and soothing voice. She released her debut album Frema after which she met Nat Brew and Rex Omar who inspired her to release her subsequent album Kokokoo. The trio later teamed up to form Nakorex. The
group, however, split after a few years. Akosua continued with her
music career as a solo secular artiste and later resurfaced as a gospel
artiste. Nat Brew, now known as Amanzeba joined Akosua on stage for a
special re-union performance to commemorate her 25th anniversary in music.
